Turkish coffee in Banja Luka – the perfect cup of coffee
Turkish coffee in Banja Luka is certainly one of the most popular drinks which is made and consumed daily. Some call it Bosnian, some call it homemade coffee, and some our coffee. The name Turkish coffee comes from the way how the coffee is prepared and not by the type of coffee used to make it.
Turkish coffee is made in džezva (Turkish coffee pot) – specially made pot for making coffee. Coffee which is used must be finely ground. Coffee is placed in the pot, and in another pot, you put water and place it on the cooker. Once the water boils, the pot with the coffee is placed on the cooker and the boiling water is added. The pot sits on the cooker until the water boils again and the foam rises.
Once it’s cooked, the Turkish coffee is poured in small cups or fildžan (small cups for Turkish coffee) and sugar is added. Usually, two cubes of sugar are added to Turkish coffee but it’s all up to you and how you like your coffee. Turkish delight is usually served with coffee.
