The machine accepts coins in denominations of 0,50KM, 1KM, 2KM and 5KM. Once you have purchased a ticket for parking it is necessary to place it under the windshield in plain sight as a confirmation that you have paid for parking. Parking meter machine does not return change!
Parking is paid by the hour, and the price depends on the zone where you parked. There are three zones:
Zone 0 (green zone) – in the city center. The cost for one hour is 1KM and you can purchase 2 hours max.
Zone 1 (red zone) – in the city center. The cost for each hour of parking is 1KM or 5KM for an entire day.
Zone 2 (blue zone) – outside the city center. The cost for each hour of parking is 50 pfennig or 3KM for entire day.
You can also pay the parking via mobile phone. All you need to do is send SMS message with your license plate number (without spaces, lines) to the corresponding phone number.
Example:
license plate: 123-A-456 SMS: 123A456
license plate: A12-B-345 SMS: A12B345
Green zone: 1 hour – 083 5114
Red zone: 1 hour – 083 5101 / 1 day – 083 5102
Blue zone: 1 hour – 083 5100 / 1 day – 083 5103
After you send an SMS you will receive an SMS with confirmation of payment and you need to keep that message as a proof of payment. Approximately 10 minutes before your parking expires you will receive another SMS informing you that your parking will expire soon so you can extend the parking if you want. Be careful not to park on the sidewalk or on the green surface, because your car will be towed away and you will have to pay a fine around 100KM (50 EUR).
Parking is payed: Monday to Friday 7:00-21:00h / Saturday 7:00-16:00h
